It is a little known fact that over 83,000 service men and women remain missing from World War II, the Cold War, the Korean War, Vietnam, and the Persian Gulf War. FAVF works tirelessly on behalf of the families of those missing fallen service members. This includes working with the Department of Defense, all of the military services, and Congress to maintain U.S. policy enshrining the commitment to bring home every service member, and to secure the authority and funding to carry out those missions even in the most challenging environments. FAVF has successfully worked with Congress to insert language to the National Defense Authorization Act specifically calling for the military to repatriate remains.
